Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to apply for one of the positions helping tourists in the local museum which were advertised in ‘English Journal’ on 3rd October. I am 22 years old and come from Portugal. Portuguese is my native language and I have been leaning English for 6 years at school and university. At the moment I am also taking an Intensive English Conversation Course in the evening. I have always been interested in history and am very interested in working in the tourist industry. I have been to England three times and have visited your museum twice before so I am already quite familiar with the building and the exhibits. I think working at your museum would give me a fantastic opportunity to practice my English and I would very much enjoy working in such an interesting environment. I am available for an interview any day before 5pm. Please contact me on 07980 367 387. Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to hearing from you. Yours faithfully, Caroline Chalmers |
